Rumor: Zooey Deschanel Cast in New Spider-Man Movie
Zooey Deschanel is the latest figure tossed into the whirling whirlpool of Spider-Man molding rumors.
Today, MTV is reporting that Zooey Deschanel (notably Trillian in 2005's The Hitchhiker's Take to the Galaxy) may be filling the role of Betty Brant in Marker Webb's Spider-man boot. Elizabeth Banks played the persona in the 2002 Spider-Humankind, bringing the Day-after-day Bugle's Betty to life for a dyad minutes; all the Sami, the character isn't a pivotal united. One power think that casting Betty International Relations and Security Network't frightfully exciting, but director Beatrice Webb seemingly "has big plans for her."
Webb has spent the week wrenching up name calling for his boot of the Spider-Humans franchise. Earlier this week, we heard of the casting of Dean Martin Sheen and Sally Battleground as Uncle Ben and Aunt May, respectively, and the confirmation that Rhys Ifans will be acting Dr. Brusk Connors. We were told that Mary-Jane Thomas Augustus Watson will non be in the picture, no matter who the internet collectively decides to cast for the part. Oh, and in news show that will surprise no one, the picture is going to be discharged in 3-D.
Patc we're staffing up the newsroom, I'd like to see some casting for J. Jonah Jameson. This whole regime change unfortunately means that I won't encounter more J.K. Simmons in the role; those are some big, shouty shoes to fill. Right forthwith the frontrunners are St. John the Apostle Slattery (okay) and Sam Elliott (maybe not).
